Muerte Las Vegas

The glitz, the glamor, the spectacle. All that the pinnacle of capitalist consumption has to offer, Donald Trump and Hunter S. Thompson madness, surreal visions of indulgence amplified rabid intoxication in windowless foretresses. In the middle of the desert: take an hour shower in your suite, jump in the pool, play golf on green grass.

American empire exemplified: Cesear’s Palace and Luxor Pyramid. Monuments of this society, a temple of consumption, marble plated wood and debt driven excess. What recession?  Read the rest of this entry


The Surface Area of SF

It’s Tuesday morning and I am weaving my way through Emeryville on my way The Mission District. I bike pass Best Buy after Target after Starbucks after Old Navy and I think of Orange County. I ride on a street named Shellmounds built on burial grounds of Ohlone tribes who ceremonially consecrated the death of ancestors by burying them in shells. European settlers genocide executed most Ohlone people, California state government paid $2 per indigenous ear and $5 per indigenous scalp, and constructed corporate shopping malls on their graveyards. Don’t worry though Bay Area Liberals, EVille named a street after the first people’s sacred shellmounds, so go buy a headdress and a pack of American Spirits to shamelessly fuel the next phase of colonization: cultural genocide. First Web Word

Greetings Interwebz,

This is the start beginning take-off initiation. It’s past 3 in the morning, I am surrounded by an orange-colored room in Santa Cruz. These are my favorite hours, hours of stillness and quiet when the microwaves cease to buzz sound carries so easy in this clarity.
